NEW YORK, N.Y. (WIVB) – Donald Trump is continuing to talk about his potential ownership of the Buffalo Bills.
Tuesday afternoon on Twitter, Trump wrote “I am the only potential owner of the @buffalobills who will keep the team in Buffalo, where it belongs!”
Trump’s name has been in the mix of possible owners since the team went up for sale. Sabres owner Terry Pegula and former Sabres owner Tom Golisano are also believed to be interested in making a bid for the team.
While the Pegulas haven’t confirmed their bid for the team, they released a statement earlier this month that they are following the sale process and have a strong desire to keep them in Western New York. Golisano has publicly confirmed his interest in the team, in addition to saying he believes a new stadium is necessary.
Michael Cohen, Executive Vice President and Special Counsel of the Trump Organization, confirmed with News 4 Sports that Donald Trump received a non-disclosure agreement from Morgan Stanley. The Bills hired Morgan Stanley to initiate the sales process in May.
