Students to intern at manufacturing companies

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The City of Buffalo wants to help high school and college students who are looking for something to do this summer.

The city is teaming up with the Buffalo Niagara Partnership to launch a new summer internship program. Students ages 16 to 21 will be able to get paid internships with local manufacturing companies.

Dream it, Do it and Mayor Byron Brown’s summer youth employment program are also supporting this program.

Last month, New York State invested in youth employment programs. Governor Andrew Cuomo awarded $27 million helping youth workers find summer jobs.
