Alfred Police charge man with fatal stabbing

ALFRED, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Alfred man is accused of fatally stabbing another man early Thursday morning, at trailer two on Waterwells Road.

Police say 26-year-old Roy E. Martinez was in a brief altercation with 29-year-old Jacob Gray of Farmington, when he stabbed him. Alfred Police say they responded to the scene where they found Gray dead from apparent stab wounds.

Martinez is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter. After being arraigned in the Town of Alfred Court, he was taken to Allegany County Jail with no bail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
