BLASDELL, N.Y. (WIVB) – A fire that destroyed the Olive Garden in Blasdell on June 16 has been determined to be accidental.
The last workers left the building at 12:45 a.m., and the fire began around 15 minutes later. Fire investigators say they found the flames sparked from a grease fire that spread to the rest of the kitchen and then the rest of the building.
The fire is not considered suspicious and the investigation is closed.
A spokesman for the restaurant said they’re working to place the employees at other Olive Garden or Darden Restaurants locations in the area.
