Lockport manufacturing firm completes expansion

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – A manufacturing and engineering firm in Niagara County has completed a $5 million expansion project.

The New York Power Authority supported the project at Diversified Manufacturing with $450,000 in funding, securing the retention of 130 jobs. The expansion adds a 45,000-square foot high bay to the 120,000-square foot plant.

NY Power Authority President and CEO Gil Quiniones said, “The grant to this facility, Diversified Manufacturing, really was the last piece of the puzzle that provided the catalyst for them to invest $5 million to expand this manufacturing facility, create jobs.”

The company offers provides a full range of engineering services for the power generation, aerospace, medical and pharmaceutical sectors, among other industries.
