Man in ICU after being shot twice in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – Niagara Falls Police are looking for help finding the suspect or suspects who shot a man and left him lying in a pool of his own blood.

Officers say 30-year-old James Vicki of Niagara Falls was found on the ground at Walnut Avenue and Fifth Street just after midnight on Wednesday. He was barely conscious after having been shot twice in his lower extremities, resulting in significant blood loss, and had other injuries from an apparent struggle.

Vicki remains at ECMC in the ICU, where he is listed in stable condition. Due to his condition, he has been unable to provide detectives with information on what took place.

Police believe Vicki was walking home on Walnut Avenue from Third Street when the shooting took place, and are hoping someone will come forward with more information.
