BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - UB’s Javon McCrea spent the last month proving he belonged in the same conversation, as players from the power conferences. Thursday night, he’ll find out if he made an impression.
The Bulls’ all-time leading scorer is one of many players, hoping to hear his name called in the NBA Draft.
“I got great feedback from a lot of the teams,” said McCrea. “The draft is the draft, you never know what’s going to happen. Just depends on how the picks go… I think I’ve done well… It’s just whether you’re what the team’s looking for.”
Thursday night, McCrea and former Canisius star Billy Baron will find out if they fit the description, of what a team’s looking for. Both are expected to either go in the second round, or catch on with a team and play in the summer league as an undrafted free agent.
