UB student accused of entering women’s restrooms

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – University at Buffalo Police have charged a student they say was seen entering women’s restrooms on the college’s South Campus.

Yuxi Zhang was previously arrested June 24 Diefendorf Hall for harassing a female employee. After releasing images captured on a security camera, investigators say they have determined the 19-year-old is also the person who was seen going into women’s bathrooms in Kapoor Hall on June 10.

Witnesses told police that they believe Zhang was attempting to photograph women.

He is charged with harassment. Zhang will be referred to Judicial Affairs for his actions.

Though the university cannot discuss individual disciplinary matters, police say students in similar cases have been suspended from UB.
