McCrea, Baron go undrafted

Western New York’s two hopefuls in the NBA Draft, Javon McCrea and Billy Baron, both went undrafted Thursday night.

It extends the draft drought for both schools, with UB’s last draft pick coming back in 1973. The last Canisius player selected was in 1985.

Baron and McCrea are both now free to sign with any team as undrafted free agents. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
