ATV driver accused of DWI after crash

SHERIDAN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Forestville man is accused of being drunk during an ATV crash on Friday.

James Young was driving down a dirt road when he lost control about 1,400 feet north of Route 39 and crashed, according to police. He was ejected from the vehicle and the ATV ended up on its side. New York State Police say the 23-year-old was drunk.

Young was treated at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk for a broken collar bone and multiple abrasions.

He was charged with DWI, unsafe speed, reckless driving, no helmet and failure to display plate.
