BUFFALO, N.Y.(WIVB) – Buffalo’s marketing community has changed dramatically with news that The Martin Group has acquired Travers Collins, one of WNY’s best known marketing and communications agencies.
Terms of the deal have not been released. Travers Collins issued a statement saying: “We’re thrilled to be turning our business over to Tod Martin and his dynamic agency, The Martin Group. Tod was a Vice President and Creative Director of Travers Collins from 1995 to 2001, at which time he took the bold step of embarking on his own and starting his agency. He’s done well and now we couldn’t think of a better person or a better agency to hand off our business.”
It’s unclear just how many Travers Collins staffers will be making the move to The Martin Group and whether some will be losing their jobs in the switch. The Martin Group has about three dozen staffers in offices at 477 Main Street in Buffalo.
Travers Collins has been a leading marketing firm in the Buffalo area for close to 20 years. Its list of clients includes Independent Health, Paul William Beltz P.C., Phillips Lytle, the Seneca Nation of Indians, and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo.
