BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Looking for something to do with your family this Independence Day? You’ll find food, fireworks and fun in full supply at Canalside.
Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation has announced its schedule for Fourth of July activities along the waterfront. The highlight will be a fireworks display at approximately 10:15 p.m. over the Buffalo River. The show, presented by restauranteur Russ Salvatore, will light up the sky to a patriotic musical soundtrack that will be synched on WHTT Classic Hits 104.1.
“I am so proud to once again be involved with city’s fireworks display on the fourth of July,” said Salvatore in a statement. “There is so much action already happening at Canalside I am happy to be a part of it. I cannot wait to push the button and light up the skies for us all to enjoy.”
A full slate of musical acts will warm up the crowd before the fireworks fill the night sky. The George Scott Big Band will take to the stage from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the Buffalo Niagara Concert Band from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Big City Horns from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Lance Diamond at 7 p.m.
