Officials: Leave pyrotechnics to the professionals

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – First responders are reminding everyone to put safety first this Fourth of July, especially when it comes to fireworks.

The fun of firecrackers, cherry bombs and even sparklers can turn dangerous in a flash. Authorities are reminding everyone to leave the pyrotechnics to the professionals.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office and the staff and Women and Children’s Hospital are teaming up to remind the public about the dangers of explosions.
