Man accused of stabbing former wife, leaving her at hospital

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man is accused of stabbing his former wife and leaving her at St. Joseph Hospital on Harlem Road.

Officers were called around 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Police say it is unclear whether Lewis Lopez stabbed his wife in the parking lot of the hospital or if he dropped her off there after stabbing her.

Lopez’s former wife was stabbed in the neck and suffered serious injuries. She is expected to survive and is currently listed in stable condition. Her name has not been released.
