BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Sabres General Manager Tim Murray continued to stay busy late into Tuesday afternoon.

Buffalo signed defenseman Andrej Meszaros to a one year $4.125 million deal. The native of Slovakia has played with the Ottawa Senators, Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers, and the Boston Bruins during his nine-year NHL career.

Boston acquired Meszaros from the Flyers at the last trade deadline. Buffalo Sabres fans may remember him from his Ottawa days, when he played on the 2007 team that made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals and eliminated the Sabres along the way.

He scored 22 points in 52 games between the Flyers and Bruins last season.
