Teen accused of damaging village property

SOUTH DAYTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – A teenager is facing charges for allegedly damaging village property in South Dayton.

State Police were called by officials on Wednesday who discovered two exterior light fixtures on the front of Village Hall as well as a Village Park picnic table had been damaged.

Troopers interviewed neighbors and along with the use of surveillance video were able to identify 18-year-old Benjamin Burroughs as a suspect.

He is charged with third degree criminal mischief.
