Man dies from injuries in fire that displaced 11

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – One man injured in a fire that displaced 11 others has died of his injuries.

An apartment building on Oxford Avenue in Buffalo caught fire early last Friday morning. Flames consumed the home, displacing residents and severely injuring 55-year-old Edward Hinton. He later died from his injuries.

The fire began on the second floor before spreading to the third, causing the roof to collapse. One firefighter suffered burns to his arm.

The home is a total loss. The cause remains under investigation.
