Parole officers find guns in convicted felon’s home

PORTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – A search warrant executed by New York State Parole uncovered two weapons inside the home of a convicted felon, according to authorities.

On Tuesday, parole officers along with State Police searched Alexander Shelbayeh’s home in the Town of Porter. Police say they found a semi-automatic shotgun and a rifle inside the 25-year-old’s residence.

He is charged with two counts of fourth degree criminal possession of weapon for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Shelbayeh was taken to the Niagara County Jail without bail.
