Stop the Violence Coalition launches summer campaign

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Stop the Violence Coalition is making a new push to keep our streets safe with their summer anti-violence campaign.

Organizers hope to spread a message of hope and unity across the city’s diverse communities. Leaders gathered Wednesday at the corner of West Ferry and Grant Street, where they held anti-violence talks and activities for children.

Executive Director Murray Holman said, “We’re making a big difference out here. We gave away information, not just about homicides and what’s going on, but we gave out health information, we gave them connections to call or other organizations to get what they need.”
