Driver injured after truck travels down 70-ft ravine

COLDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man was injured after losing control of his pickup truck on a curve and going down a 70-foot ravine into Cazenovia Creek.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office was called to Rt. 240 in the Town of Colden around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Deputies say 49-year-old David Arcara went off the road and down a ravine, landing in the creek bed.

He was flown to ECMC by Mercy Flight, where he is listed in stable condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
