BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Police are using Facebook to celebrate two K-9 officers each day of summer, beginning Thursday.

The “Dogs Day of Summer” will feature photos and details about two dogs each day. Each dog is named after a fallen member of the New York State Police.

Police are using this campaign to introduce the public to the canines who serve the community. You can see the posts and “like” the New York State Police on their Facebook page.
