Pair arrested in late night raid in Salamanca

SALAMANCA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Shortly after midnight on Independence Day, officers with the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the City of Salamanca and took two people into custody.

investigators have been looking into the sale of narcotics in Salamanca and the City of Olean. At a home on Quilter Avenue, police say they found crack cocaine worth $500, scales, drug paraphernalia and $600 in cash.

Cain McKnight, 32, was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Dusti Ginnery, 28, was also taken into custody and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Ginnery was later additionally charged with third degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance as well as fourth and fifth degree criminal sale of marijuana.
