Old Fort Niagara hosts war encampment

YOUNGSTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — It’s a busy weekend at Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown.  The 35th annual French and Indian War encampment is happening.

It features hundreds of authentically clad French, British, and Native American participants.  They re-create the historic siege of Forth Niagara in 1759.

Throughout the weekend the troops are re-enacting several battles that happened at the fort 255 years ago.
