Plaque commemorates Wallenda Niagara Falls walk

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) —  A plaque is being dedicated to mark daredevil Nik Wallenda’s 2012 high-wire walk over Niagara Falls.

Wallenda and his family are expected to attend Monday’s ceremony, along with dignitaries from the United States and Canada.

The ceremony will take place on Goat Island at Niagara Falls.

Wallenda became the first person to walk over the brink of Niagara Falls when he accomplished the feat on national television in June 2012.
