Overnight shooting turns deadly

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred just after 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

Police tell News 4 the shooting happened in the vicinity of Genesee Street and Wasmuth Avenue.

Detectives say two males were struck by gunfire while in a vehicle. Both were transported to ECMC by ambulance. The 21-year-old later died from his injuries. The 20-year-old was treated, and then released.
