Orchard Park Police investigate suspicious death

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – Orchard Park Police Chief Mark Pacholec will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. Tuesday to update the public on the investigation into what police are calling a “suspicious death” inside a home at 2 Hillsboro Drive.

News 4 has confirmed police found the body of a male inside the home on Monday. The male lived at this address, according to police.

Orchard Park police spent more than 12 hours at the scene, bringing equipment into the house and wearing white suits while working in the garage.

It is not clear how police learned of the death. Chief Pacholec told News 4 Monday his department would not release any additional information at the time to ensure the investigation would not be compromised. He also said notifications of the death still needed to be made.

“I don’t think, I don’t think homicides are usual for any police agency,” said Pacholec. “Our last homicides, we had two of them in 2009.”

According to police, the district attorney has been notified.
