Dunkirk woman charged with DWI after crashing her car into a tree


TOWN OF SHERIDAN, NY (WIVB) – On Saturday, New York State Police responded to a one car accident on Route 5 in the Town of Sheridan. Once on the scene, Troopers found the vehicle had gone off the road and crashed into a tree on the south shoulder of the road.

The driver, Ashley Dudek, 26, of Dunkirk, was given field sobriety tests and was found to have a BAC of .15%.

Dudek was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with .08 or more Alcohol in the Blood, Driving While Intoxicated – 1st Offense, Moving from a Lane Unsafely, Driving Without Insurance and Having an Open Container of Alcohol.
