Interactive workshops focus on Outer Harbor

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The first of three interactive public workshops about Buffalo’s outer harbor is taking place Wednesday evening.

State officials and a San Francisco-based planning and architecture firm, Perkins +Will, welcome the public to attend the meetings. The meetings will focus on the public’s input for the Outer Harbor blueprint due this fall.

The consultants will use tools they use in their design studios to discuss plans with residents.

The meetings are set as follows:

· Wednesday, July 9, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., WNED Studios, 140 Lower Terrace, Buffalo, NY 14203;

· Thursday, July 10, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Makowski Early Childhood Center, 1095 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo, NY 14208;

· Saturday, July 12, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., Old First Ward Community Center, 62 Republic St., Buffalo, NY 14204 provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
