CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Cheektowaga woman who worked as an auditor at HSBC Bank will spend the next year in prison for bank fraud.

Nicole Pompey, 34, used her position to manipulate teller accounts. U.S. Attorney William Hochul said Pompey transferred $42,000 in HSBC funds into her personal account between December 2008 and September 2010. The account had her maiden name on it.

The United States Secret Service investigated this case.

As part of her sentence, Pompey must also pay restitution.
