Teen accused of assault at Randolph Children’s Home

RANDOLPH, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 13-year-old is accused of assaulting a staff member at the Randolph Children’s Home Monday night.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office says the girl struck a staff member in the mouth causing injury, but not requiring medical attention.

The sheriff’s office responded to a report of an out-of-control female around 9:45 p.m. Just before officials arrived, staff members had restrained the girl to calm her down.

The girl was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree criminal contempt. She will appear in Cattaraugus County Family Court.
