Son, 4, left in car by mom at mall

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Rochester woman has been arrested after allegedly leaving her 4-year-old in the car while she went to work.

Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies say that Thelma Edwards, 22, left her son in the car for more than two hours while she went to work at TGI Fridays in Victor.

Investigators responded to the call around 7 p.m. Thursday after being alerted by a mall shopper.

Edwards was charged with not only endangering the welfare of a child but also driving with a suspended license.

She will appear in a Farmington Town Court at a later date.
