Taste of Buffalo attracts thousands on Saturday

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – One of Buffalo’s biggest summer events is this weekend in Niagara Square.

Thousands of people flock to the Taste of Buffalo every year to sample some of the best culinary delights from dozens of restaurants. The festival runs Saturday from 11  a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

William Mattar Law Offices is offering a new way to cool off this year. The firm is sponsoring 10 new shade zones, where attendees can take a break from the sun and enjoy their food. The tents will be located throughout the festival.

This year, 17 new restaurants, including Snooty Fox and The Lodge, are joining the Taste of Buffalo, for a grand total of 60. The restaurants will serve over 220 different menu items. The festival will also feature a beer tent and samples from local wineries.

With people expected to be eating along the streets of Buffalo during the Taste of Buffalo this weekend, city officials are reminding visitors to use the recycling carts throughout the festival site.

Make sure to stop by the News 4 booth, at the south side of Niagara Square.
