Bus driver sentenced for crimes involving young boy

RANDOLPH, N.Y. (WIVB) – A former school bus driver will serve probation for endangering the welfare of a child.

John Hitchcock, 67, had been accused of sexually abusing a child but pleaded guilty in April to the lesser charge. On Monday, the former Randolph driver was sentenced to three-years probation.

Prosecutors say the crimes involving a young boy happened on a route in Chautauqua County west of Randolph in 2012.
