Three minors accused of string of car break-ins

SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Three minors are behind a string of car break-ins in the Village of Springville, according to deputies.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says all three were arrested last week. Detectives say one of the vehicles broken into had a handgun stolen from an internal compartment, and all three minors attempted to sell the gun at different times.

Deputies say they have recovered the weapon from the home of one of the suspects.

Each is charged with felony grand larceny of a firearm, felony criminal sale of a firearm to a minor, felony possession of a firearm with intent to sell, felony criminal possession of a firearm, and misdemeanor acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17.

The three minors are due back in court at a later date.
