Wellsville man charged with drugs, stealing

WELLSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 25-year-old man was arrested for drugs and stealing Sunday afternoon in Wellsville.

Police say Nicholas S. McConkey was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

McConkey was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $5,000 bail. He is due back in Wellsville Village Court on July 29th at 4:30 pm.
