BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The governor’s commission on public corruption investigated the campaign spending of all state lawmakers and another Western New Yorker appeared high on their list.
State Senator Patrick Gallivan of Elma told News 4 that he asked his staff members to review expenses to make sure he’s still on the straight and narrow.
“It’s important to note that we are talking about voluntary campaign contributions, and not taxpayer dollars. But nonetheless, since I’ve been sheriff, and all my time in public office, we’ve worked very hard to comply with applicable law,” he said.
Gallivan’s name was third on the same list of top uncategorized campaign spending that was topped by Senator Maziarz.
