Man allegedly tried to walk away from DWI crash

MAYVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – State Police say after crashing his vehicle, a drunk driver tried to walk away from the scene.

Troopers say they had to subdue Henry Stovall after he resisted being arrested for DWI on July 8. Officers say the 37-year-old Jamestown man crashed his car on Rt. 430 in Mayville and tried to walk away from the scene, ignoring orders from police.

Once arrested, Stovall was charged with DWI, refusing a breath test, first degree aggravated unlicensed operation, moving from lane unsafely, speed not reasonable and prudent, and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle.
