Hendricks named AAA All-Star Game’s top star

DURHAM, N.C. (WIVB) – Bisons pitcher Liam Hendricks started the Triple-A All-Star Game with two scoreless innings, setting the tone for the International League’s 7-3 win over the PCL. Hendricks earned the game’s “top star” award, for his effort.

He is just the fourth Bisons player to earn the honor, joining Matt Harvey (2012), Russell Branyan (1999), and Luis Lopez (1995). Hendricks was also the fourth Bisons pitcher to earn the start in the All-Star Game.

Hendricks struck out four in his two innings of work, giving up just one hit. The Bisons return to action Thursday night at Pawtucket to open a six-game road trip.
