Report: Sabres to re-sign Ennis to five-year deal

Tyler Ennis

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Sabres are about to hand out a long-term deal to restricted free agent Tyler Ennis, according to an NHL Network report.

Ennis will reportedly sign a five-year deal worth $23 million, averaging out to $4.6 million a season.

The former first-round pick scored a career-high 21 goals last season for the Sabres, along with 22 assists. His 43 points were second on the team, behind only Cody Hodgson, who signed a long-term contract of his own last September.
