Residents can weigh in on landfill plans


LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – If you live in Niagara County, you have two chances Wednesday to weigh in on a company’s controversial expansion plans.

Executives with CWM Chemical Services want to build a hazardous waste landfill on their property in Model City, near Lewiston.

The DEC and the Facility Siting Board will hold two public hearings about this Wednesday at Lewiston-Porter High School.

The first one starts at 1 p.m. and the second is at 6:30 p.m. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
