Schneiderman $6.9M, Cahill nearly $1M in NY race

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Campaign finance reports for the New York attorney general’s race show incumbent Eric Schneiderman with $6.9 million in his campaign fund, and challenger John Cahill with nearly $1 million.

Schneiderman, a Manhattan Democrat, lists $2.68 million in donations and $1.75 million in expenses the past six months.

Republican Cahill, an attorney from Yonkers and former chief of staff to Gov. George Pataki, reports having raised $1.07 million and spent $99,000.

Major Schneiderman donations include $50,000 each from three New York City limited liability corporations: DOLP 1155 Properties, DOLP 733 Properties and DOLP 1133 Properties.

Major Cahill donations include $41,000 from financier Kenneth G. Langone of Manhattan and $41,100 from Elaine Langone of Sands Point.
