KENDALL, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 19-year-old was charged with underage drinking after he was caught bringing his own beer to a carnival over the weekend, according to State Police.

Joshua Stoller was charged with unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage with intent to consume on Saturday. Troopers say the teen was intoxicated when he was found in the beer tent at the Kendall Fireman’s Carnival.

Police say Stoller was drinking a beer not available for sale inside the tent. He was asked for ID by security but the teen said he didn’t have any. He was escorted outside after becoming uncooperative and additional cans of beer were found on his person.

Troopers were able to obtain Stoller’s age after they arrived and placed him under arrest.

He is due back in court next month. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
