Forbes ranks Bills on valuable sports teams list

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Forbes has ranked the world’s 50 most valuable sports teams in 2014. The Buffalo Bills made the list at number 47.

According to Forbes, the team is worth $870 million. They note that Ralph Wilson bought the team for $25,000 in 1959.

The most valuable team is Real Madrid, worth $3.44 billion. Forbes reports the New York Yankees are number four on the list, worth $2.5 billion.

The NFL team worth the most, according to Forbes, is the Dallas Cowboys. The team ranked in fifth place and is reportedly worth $2.3 billion.

The Bills’ price tag has been in the spotlight, as the team is currently in the sale process. Potential buyers now have their hands on the Bills sale book. Terry and Kim Pegula, Tom Golisano and Donald Trump are among the names considered as potential buyers.
