TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District released district reorganization information on their website Thursday. Community members can find details about the newly organized grade levels for schools, and attendance zone maps on the district homepage.

In 2016, Hamilton Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary and Kenmore Middle will close. The district will transition into five elementary schools for grades K-4, two middle schools for grades 5-7 and two high schools for grades 8-12. The school district’s projected capacity is expected to be 80 percent when the reorganization starts.

The new plan will establish a feeder pattern, so students will travel with their classmates through their entire school experience.

The district says there are eight cases of student transition accommodations being made, for students in special circumstances.
