Sabres sign Ennis to multi-year contract

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Sabres have signed Tyler Ennis to a multi-year contract. The forward has played in parts of five seasons with the team since being drafted by Buffalo in the first round in 2008.

The NHL Network reported Wednesday that Ennis would sign a five-year deal worth $23 million, averaging out to $4.6 million a season.

In 2013-14, Ennis led the Sabres with a career-high 21 goals and ranked second on the team in total points, with 43 (21+23) in 80 games played.
