Canadian tour bus flips on Northway, killing one

NORTH HUDSON, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Canadian charter bus has crashed in northern New York State Friday morning killing one person and injuring several others.

It happened around 8 a.m. in North Hudson along Interstate 87, also known as the Adirondack Northway, in North Hudson.

State Police say 56 passengers were on board the bus when it veered off the shoulder of the road and into the median.

Passengers were transported to hospitals in Glens Falls, N.Y., Burlington, VT. And Elizabethtown, N.Y.

The bus was heading from Canada south toward New York City  when it veered off the shoulder of the highway and into the median.
