Tifft Street pier and boardwalk opens in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Officials are celebrating the completion of the Tifft Street Pier and Boardwalk, Friday, along Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. The $4.3 million project includes the Industrial Heritage Trail and the Lake Kirsty Dock.

Federal, state and local leaders were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony Friday morning.

New York State Department of Transportation Regional Director Darrell Kaminski said, “Western New Yorker’s are encouraged to experience the revitalized waterfront and all it has to offer with its miles of pathways, trails and boardwalks, pavilions, piers and fishing docks along the scenic waterfront.”
