‘Family Fun Day’ planned on Buffalo waterfront

BUFFALO, N.Y.(WIVB) For the first time, Tifft Nature Preserve and Buffalo Harbor State Park are presenting a free family fun day, “Sky’s the Limit” on Friday, July 25.

The day will feature family-friendly activities involving all things that fly. All activities are free and the public is invited to bring blankets and chairs.

The event schedule: 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Wind, sky and flight-themed activities and crafts for children at both the Buffalo Harbor site and Tifft Nature Preserve.
1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Kite flying with the Great Lakes Kiteflyers Society at the Buffalo Harbor site.
6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., Tethered hot air balloon rides with the Aurora Balloon Company at the Buffalo Harbor site.
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Food trucks will be selling food at the Buffalo Harbor site.
9:00 p.m., Movie screening of “Fly Away Home” at the Buffalo Harbor site.

Buffalo Harbor State Park is at 1111 Fuhrmann Blvd. Tifft Nature Preserve is just across the street at 1200 Fuhrmann Blvd. Free parking is available at both locations.
