4 accused of breaking into 8 churches over 3 days

YORKSHIRE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Four people are accused of breaking into eight churches across Cattaraugus and Wyoming counties.

The burglaries happened over a three-day period and the suspects made off with cash, two safes, musical equipment and other smaller items.

State Police worked with the sheriff’s office of each county to arrest the following:

Thomas Archer, 18, of Machias
Christopher Rose, 18, of Machias,
Danae Chiarilli, 18, of Cuba, NY
Christopher Boilard, 20, of Franklinville

Each are charged with three counts of third burglary, three counts of firth degree conspiracy, three counts of possession of burglary tools, one count of third degree grand larceny and one count of fourth degree criminal mischief.

Troopers say additional charges are forthcoming against the four suspected burglars. If you believe your place of worship was burglarized, call 716-353-4029.

Each of the suspects is being held in Cattaraugus County Jail on $10,000 bail and is due back in court on July 24.
