Crash suspect allegedly tampers with evidence

PERRY, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Perry man for leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence.

Deputies allege 35-year-old Andrew Faryna is responsible for a motor vehicle accident that happened on Oatka Road in May. Faryna is accused of leaving the scene of a property damage accident and speeding.

Following the crash, he allegedly had video surveillance erased from a local business that law enforcement was seeking to obtain.

He will answer charges in Town of Perry Court on August 13.
